A Melody In Film exists for couples who want someone they can trust—not just to document the day, but to help shape it so it feels intentional and unforced.

If you’re looking for someone to simply cover your wedding, I may not be the right fit. If you want someone present, prepared, and invested in helping your day flow naturally, you’re in the right place.

Preparation allows me to stay present on your wedding day and focused.

I watch for moments as they happen, stepping in with guidance when it serves the story and stepping back when the moment speaks for itself. I’m attentive to the rhythm of the day, helping it move with ease so you can remain comfortable, confident, and fully present.

I’m not a wedding planner — but I’m intentional about helping your day make sense for photography and film so nothing feels rushed or forced. Before your wedding, we’ll get to know each other and walk through your timeline together — setting clear expectations around what’s achievable, what matters most, and where flexibility helps. My goal is to feel like a trusted friend — championing you and protecting the flow of your day.

A Little About Me

My name is Jairus, and I’m the artist behind A Melody In Film. I’m an extrovert at heart, and I care deeply about the people I work with.

My work isn’t just about showing up with a camera. While there are moments where that’s necessary — and it can lead to good art — great art comes from connection beyond a handshake. Taking time to get to know the couples I serve is a crucial part of capturing what actually matters to you on your wedding day.

The name A Melody In Film comes from my love of music and film-inspired imagery. I don’t experience synesthesia, but I do believe beauty resonates — it sings in a way that’s hard to explain but easy to feel. If you’ve ever watched a film purely for its cinematography or color, and felt something without needing words, that’s the feeling I’m drawn to when creating a visual tone for your wedding day.

My Approach

We chose you because you made everything so easy for us. The wedding day experience was amazing! We were so at peace and kept looking at each other saying, “It’s really happening—shouldn’t I be more stressed right now?” We were super impressed with how punctual you were with photos. You were incredibly professional (and funny and kind!). We loved the photos we received and truly couldn’t have asked for anything more. You did such a great job paying attention to what Eden and I asked for, and we’re so grateful. We would 100% recommend you to any couple looking for a photographer!
